Miguel Servet fue un humanista, médico y teólogo aragonés cuya agudeza intelectual desafió los límites de su tiempo, convirtiéndolo en un auténtico genio del Renacimiento. A pesar de haber realizado el extraordinario hallazgo de la circulación pulmonar de la sangre, una contribución fundamental para la medicina moderna, su figura permanece hoy en una injusta penumbra para la mayoría de sus compatriotas. Su espíritu crítico y su defensa de la libertad de conciencia lo llevaron a enfrentarse tanto a la Inquisición católica como al rigorismo calvinista, terminando trágicamente en la hoguera en Ginebra. Este dibujo es un homenaje a uno de los pensadores más brillantes y universales que ha dado España, aunque su legado siga siendo un tesoro por redescubrir para el gran público español.

Miguel Servet was an Aragonese humanist, physician, and theologian whose intellectual sharpness pushed the boundaries of his time, marking him as a true Renaissance genius. Despite making the extraordinary discovery of pulmonary circulation, a fundamental contribution to modern medicine, his figure remains unfairly overlooked by the majority of his fellow Spaniards today. His critical spirit and defense of freedom of conscience led him to clash with both the Catholic Inquisition and Calvinist rigorism, tragically ending his life at the stake in Geneva. This drawing pays a tribute to one of the most brilliant and universal thinkers Spain has ever produced, even though his legacy remains a treasure waiting to be rediscovered by the Spanish public.
