El cuadro se divide en dos mitades esenciales. La parte inferior, donde el empedrado de la plaza cobra protagonismo, está dominada por tonos cálidos que evocan la calidez de una tarde de verano en Castilla-La Mancha. Los detalles del suelo, minuciosamente trabajados, invitan al espectador a sentir la textura y el calor del día.
El elemento central es el convento de las Carmelitas, cuya presencia imponente y tranquila ancla la composición con una sensación de reverencia e historia.
